Fiji has brushed aside a brave Wales side, easing to a 26-7 win to secure a semi final berth.
Fiji’s William Ryder showed why he’s rated so highly, sidestepping around four Welsh defenders and running the length of the field untouched to score the last and best try of the match.
Sireli Naqelevuki top-scored with two tries for the winners with Jone Daunivucu also chipping in. Wales’ only try came from Rhodri Mcatee in the second half, after weight of numbers told against the Fijian defence.
The Welsh put in some promising runs, only to be let down by handling errors.
They meet Samoa in the plate Semi Finals.
