Australian Jarrod Fletcher lines
up in the Featherweight quarter
finals.
There will be 24 quarter final bouts fought on day seven as the competition continues to gain momentum towards the medal rounds.
Luke Jackson (57kg), Jarrod Fletcher (75kg), and crowd-pleasing, hard-man Leonardo Zappavigna (60kg) are the three Australians flying the flag for the host nation.
Fletcher faces some tough opposition in Scotland's Craig McEwen. Both fighters have been impressive after moving up to a heavier division since the Manchester 2002 Games.
The Welterweight 69 kg division is heating up with some exciting bouts taking place. Indian Vijender will face Kristofer Carslaw of Scotland and Thomas Hamill of Northern Ireland will meet Englishman Neil Perkins, in what promises to be a couple of very exciting Quarter Finals.
The bouts get underway at 1pm with a variety of weight divisions competing including Flyweight (51kg), Bantamweight (54kg), Featherweight (57kg), Lightweight (60kg), Welterweight (69kg) and Middleweight (75kg).
