Injuries Damian returned to international competition in October 2005 after a long battle against a career-threatening wrist injury suffered in 2003.

Damian achieved great results of: 7th on Floor in Finals, 6th on Vault in finals 14th on Rings at the 2005 Belgium World Cup, only 0.1 from the top 8 that makes finals.

Damian began gymnastics at 4 years old and became part of the high performance centre 3 years later in 1989. He has now been at the high performance centre for 16 years, training between 25-30 hours a week. Damian has been representing Australia since 1996 as a junior athlete and make his senior international debut in 1999 at the age of 16, becoming the youngest Australian male gymnast to make a World Championships team.

Damian works as a coach at the Lawton Academy of Gymnastics for about 16 hours per week and studies full time at Griffith University for a commerce degree.
