At the 2004 Telstra Australia Short Course Championships, Sophie and her training partner Tay Zimmer dead-heated twice - in the 100m Backstroke and then two nights later in the 50m Backstroke.
She finished third in both the 50 and 100m Backstroke before she led off the victorious world record breaking Australian women's 4 x 100m medley relay team.
The results from the 2004 Telstra SC Championships saw Sophie selected for the 2004 World Short Course Championships in Indianapolis, where she claimed her first international medals. |
