Other CJ will lead the Boomers as Captain in these Commonwealth Games. CJ toured with the Boomers squad in Europe in 2002, 2003 and 2004.

CJ has said that the game has taught him the value of fun, respect and teamwork. For recreation CJ enjoys computer games, bowling and playing dominoes, and he enjoys going to the movies, baseball and football.

CJ was part of the NBL Championships winning team, Sydney Kings, during both 2005 and 2004. His father is NBL Hall of Fame player and championship-winning coach Cal Bruton.

CJ's favourite moment in Australian sport was attending the 2000 Olympic Games.
