Other Paul began playing badminton because he was bored of watching his older sister at training, so he picked up a racquet himself.

His hobbies include watching other sports, listening to music by Razorlight, The Killers, Keane and David Gray, and watching Kevin Spacey movies.

His favourite badminton memory is watching a drunk player win the Guernsey Open. While he was playing the final, his hired car had rolled down the hill outside of the badminton hall as well. Despite this being Paul's favourite memory, he does not hold the winner that year as a role model!
