Other Anna is the daughter of a former New Zealand player and hadn't even played senior provincial netball when she was whisked off for her international debut against Jamaica in 1994.

Her rollercoaster career dipped to its lowest point when she was sidelined by selectors for 18 months before being recalled again in 2002.

She is known as an outstanding athlete (she is also a P.E teacher) and is renowned for her speed through court and her trademark bullet pass, which has been perfected over time.

Anna has now been rewarded with her patience and tenacity in the down times and is a former captain of the New Zealand team.

She says her netball career highlights include winning the Coca Cola Cup in 1998 (Otago).
