Rebecca's first sporting success was winning a bronze medal in the club championships when she was 10 years old - in the 100m breaststroke. Her most embarrassing sporting moment was getting disqualified in a 200m IM for pushing off into the wrong lane after the Backstroke/breaststroke turn.

She claims her finest sporting moment was getting two gold medals at the 2002 Commonwealth Games and a bronze at the 2003 World Championships.

She says her biggest sporting disappointment was her performance at the Athens Olympics in 2004. She believes she didn't show what she was truly capable of, and while it gave her extra drive in her swimming, it took a lot of personal strength to get over.

She was first selected for Great Britain in 1998 and her favourite sport other than swimming is football (when England play) and athletics.
