National Visits Media Card
Media wishing to cover the Royal Visit to Australia and non-Games related activities will need to apply for a National Visits Media Card. A National Visits Media Card identifies the holder as a person with a legitimate media interest in the visits of foreign dignitaries.
Melbourne 2006 Games Accreditation does not entitle media to enter venues other than Commonwealth Games venues. Similarly a National Visits Media Card (alone) does not allow entry to Games venues without Games accreditation. Therefore Games accredited media will be required to apply for a National Visits Media Card if they wish to participate in the Royal Visit or other visiting dignitaries tours.
Appropriate documentation needs to be completed to apply for a National Visits Media Card.
View the National Visits Media Card application form.
For assistance regarding the National Visits Media Card, contact the Protective Security Coordination Centre on 02 6250 5378 or email
