The Kusun Ensemble
From Ghana
Ghana's most innovative and powerful music and dance ensemble
This dazzling ensemble of musicians and dancers from Ghana brings the tropical passion of West African music and dance to the world stage. Founded by Nii Tettey Tetteh, the Kusun Ensemble includes past and present members of the National Ballet and The Pan African Orchestra. Rooted in traditional music, the group has developed a new genre of Ghanaian music and dance, creating innovative rhythms and dances by fusing bass and lead guitar, electrifying jazz and African rhythms, and traditional Ghanaian instruments. The extraordinary Kusun Ensemble will light up Festival Melbourne2006 with its mesmerising Ghanaian sound.
