New Ruins

Presented by Next Wave

New RuinsRuins exist when culture is reclaimed by nature…when empires have crashed and burned…when structures that we trust and abide by have fallen apart and become redundant. This is the moment when art creeps into the cracks of life.

New Ruins brings together thirteen contemporary visual artists from Glasgow and Melbourne, through an international residency and exhibition. The artists will shed light on the inside of the City Watch House, showcasing new site-sympathetic artworks in the spooky old cells – a self-guided tour that you will never forget.
