Alkinoos Ioannidis
From Cyprus
With The Habibis (Australia)
"A real star on stage ... combines a brilliant performance with a powerful inner understanding of the music ..." Athinorama
For the first time in Australia, the superstar from Cyprus.
Arguably the most powerful force in contemporary Greek music today, Alkinoos Ioannidis is internationally acclaimed as one of the most important singer-songwriters of his generation. His magnetic stage presence, poetic songwriting and passionate voice have enthralled audiences from New York’s Madison Square Garden to the Acropolis in Athens. With six massively successful solo albums influenced by traditional Greek and Cypriot music, classical, jazz and rock music, Alkinoos Ioannidis is, undisputedly, a superstar. But it is the exquisite pathos and emotional intensity of his live performances and his astonishing connection with his audience, that lift this exceptional artist into the extraordinary. Alkinoos Ioannidis live in concert is an experience that cannot be missed.
With a special performance by
