From South Africa, Australia
Zip Zap Circus School (South Africa). The Flying Fruit Fly Circus (Albury/Wodonga), The Brewarrina Youth Circus (NSW)
World Premiere
Three diverse cultures. Three different youth circuses. One amazing show.
Twenty-eight young artists join forces in a remarkable creative collaboration between three leading youth circuses. In this brand new show created especially for the Commonwealth Games, The Flying Fruit Fly Circus, Zip Zap Circus and the Brewarrina Youth Circus show what can be achieved when the extraordinary unite. Set in an airport transit lounge this cross cultural contemporary circus poignantly explores themes of dislocation, relocation and cultural transition. Suitable for all ages.
Founded in 1979, The Flying Fruit Fly Circus is Australia's premier youth circus. Cape Town's Zip Zap Circus is the oldest and most established youth circus in Africa, teaching circus skills to disadvantaged children. Brewarrina Youth Circus began in 2002 as a means of offering alternative paths for education, physical exploration and creativity to young people living in the area.
